सारण के अभिषेक को यूपीएससी में 484वां स्थान  | Abhishek of chapra distric got 484th rank in Civil exam UPSC Result
प्रतिष्ठित माने जाने वाले संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (यूपीएससी) की परीक्षा में सफल होकर एकमा के अभिषेक ने न सिर्फ गांव का, बल्कि जिले व राज्य का नाम रोशन किया है। अभिषेक ने अपने पहले ही प्रयास में सफलता हासिल की है। उसे यूपीएससी की परीक्षा में 484वां स्थान मिला है। यह सूचना मिलने के बाद से उसके गांव में जश्न का माहौल है। वहीं पोते की सफलता पर दादा शिक्षक शंकर सि...ंह फूले नहीं समा रहे हैं। अभिषेक भी इस बात को कहते नहीं थक रहा कि उसे यह सफलता अपने दादा की प्रेरणा से ही मिली है। जानकारी के मुताबिक एकमा प्रखंड के कोहरगर गांव निवासी शिक्षक शंकर सिंह का पौत्र व गया में कार्यपालक अभियंता के पद पर पदस्थापित कामेश्वर प्रसाद ंिसंह के पुत्र अभिषेक आनंद ने यूपीएससी 2012 की परीक्षा में सफलता हासिल की है। दादा शंकर सिंह बताते हैं कि उनका पोता केआईपी भुवनेश्वर से इंजीनियरिंग किया। इंजीनियरिंग में भी पोता अपने बैच में टाप किया था। इसके बाद एक्सएलआरआई जमशेदपुर से एमबीए की परीक्षा पास की। शुरू से मेधावी अभिषेक आनंद ने पहले ही प्रयास में यूपीएससी की परीक्षा पास कर ली है। पुत्र की इस सफलता पर अभिषेक की मां मंजू सिंह भी आह्लादित हैं। वे पटना में हाई स्कूल में शिक्षिका हैं।

Haritha V Kumar, who topped the All-India Civil Services Examination, initially did not believe it was true as she thought her friends had played a prank.

"Initially, I could not believe it was true. I thought I was being fooled by my friends who called me to congratulate me," Haritha told a Malayalam TV channel from Faridabad.

Haritha, who is already an officer in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and posted at Faridabad, clinched the top rank in the civil services examination in her fourth attempt.

Sarabjit Singh, attacked Indian prisoner, dies in the Jinnah hospital, Lahore where he died at 12.45 am

Sarabjit Singh, the Indian who was attacked in a prison in Pakistan where he spent 22 years after being convicted of terrorism, died early this morning at a Lahore hospital after a cardiac arrest.

The 49-year-old was admitted there on Friday with severe brain injuries after a group of inmates hit him on the head with bricks and pieces of tin. Doctors had warned from the start that his recovery was unlikely; he was comatose and on ventilator support.

An autopsy will be conducted today at the Jinnah hospital where he died at 12.45 am.

His family has requested that his body be given to them and that he be given "a martyr's funeral".  Indian officials are in touch with Pakistan to get Sarabjit's body back to India for last rites. The Indian High Commissioner is expected to meet the Chief Minister of the Punjab Province in Pakistan soon.
